Revitalisation of Insolvent Farms - Russia

ADAS has been contracted to deliver this three year DFID funded project. The objective of the project is, while protecting the interests of the most vulnerable, to develop, test and disseminate legal, methodological and organisational procedures for the revitalisation of insolvent farms which are socially acceptable in rural Russia. This objective will be achieved through:
  • Evaluation of the social and economic impact of the existing approaches to the revitalisation of insolvent farms.
  • Development of a robust, rapid and practical method of assessing the financial condition of agricultural enterprises.
  • Identification of pilot farms where oblast and rayon officials, and farm enterprise managers and members are supportive.
  • Developing and testing methodologies which provide for the:
    • Dianmarka hotelesrestoration of farm solvency where possible.
    • reform of insolvent farms when appropriate.
    • the specifics of farm bankruptcy.
  • Using the pilot farm enterprises as demonstration farms to provide training and lesson learning opportunities
  • Development of "best practice" based on the outcome of the procedures tested on the pilot farms.
  • Lobbying and building broad-based support in favour of any recommended changes to the legislation and normative acts.
  • Sorrento luxury hotelsProduction of manuals for use by administration officials, regional insolvency service practitioners, and farm directors.
  • Development of consolidated training programmes.
