Small changes bring great results It's not easy to change a lifetime of eating habits - but one thing is for sure - fad diets do NOT work in the long run. If they did, you wouldn't need to be on one! Getting nutrition through our regular diet will keep us healthy and keep the body functioning at optimum levels. It will also improve our metabolism to help burn calories faster. Many diseases in today's world are a result of a (habitually) poor diet. Industrialized countries that manufacture processed foods seem to be the countries where people are suffering the most from diseases, such as cancer and obesity that may be prevented through healthy nutrition. Processed foods are often stripped of nutrients and laden with chemicals and preservatives, which can be harmful to our bodies. Especially when consumed on a regular basis. Why not give ourselves every opportunity to be healthy? It starts with what we put in our body on a daily basis. Putting fresh and whole foods on our grocery lists and in our diet is the first step to healthy living. Always wash your fruits and vegetables well before eating - you don't know who has handled your produce and how clean their hands were (or weren't!). |
