In 2002, Lincoln Heritage Life Insurance Company proudly announced its development of a series of Medicare Supplement Insurance Policies. We believe that by offering these products we are expanding our presence in the senior marketplace.
     
 
Lincoln Heritage Life provides five plans of Medicare Supplement Insurance at very competitive rates. Lincoln Heritage Life has partnered with a major international reinsurer and a well respected third party administrator to provide claims service. As with our life business, prompt claim payments and policyholder service will be our number one priority.
     
 
Just as we have been a leader in Final Expense Insurance, we also have become a force to be reckoned with in the Medicare Supplement Market.

  Definitions of Benefits Provided under the Medicare Supplement Insurance Plans.      
 
Basic Benefits - (Provided by Lincoln Heritage Plans A, B, C, D & F)
     
 
    1. Provides coverage of Part A Medicare Eligible Expenses for hospitalization to the extent not covered by Medicare from the sixty first (61st) day through the ninetieth (90th) day in any Medicare Benefit Period.
    2. Coverage of Part A Medicare Eligible Expenses incurred for hospitalization to the extent not covered by Medicare for each Medicare Lifetime Inpatient Reserve day used.
    3. Upon exhaustion of the Medicare Hospital inpatient coverage including the lifetime reserve days, coverage of the Medicare Part A Eligible Expenses for Hospitalization paid at the diagnostic related group (DRG) day outlier per diem or other appropriate standard of payment, subject to a lifetime maximum benefit of an additional three hundred sixty-five (365) days.
    4. Coverage under Medicare Parts A and B for the reasonable cost of the first three (3) pints of blood (or equivalent quantities of packed red blood cells, as defined under federal regulations.
    5. Coverage for the coinsurance amount, or in the case of Hospital outpatient department services under a prospective payment system, the copayment amount, of the Medicare Eligible Expenses under Part B regardless of Hospital confinement, subject to the Medicare Part B Deductive.
     
  Skilled Nursing Facility - (Provided by Lincoln Heritage Plans C, D & F)      
    1. Coverage for the actual billed charges up to the Coinsurance Amount from the twenty-first (21st) day through the one hundredth (100th) day in a Medicare Benefit Period for post hospital Skilled Nursing Facility care eligible under Medicare Part A.
  Part A Deductible - (Provided by Lincoln Heritage Plans B, C, D & F)      
    1. Coverage for all of the Medicare Part A Initial Deductible amount per Benefit Period.
  Part B Deductible - (Provided by Lincoln Heritage Plans C & F)      
    1. Coverage for all of the Medicare Part B Deductible amount per Calendar Year regardless of Hospital confinement..
  Part B Excess Charges - (Provided by Lincoln Heritage Plan F)      
    1. Coverage for all of the difference between the actual Medicare Part B charge as billed, not to exceed any charge limitation established by the Medicare program or state law, and the Medicare-approved Part B charge.
  Foreign Travel Emergency - (Provided by Lincoln Heritage Plans C, D & F)      
    1. Coverage to the extent not covered by Medicare for eighty percent (80%) of the billed charges for Medicare-Eligible Expenses for Medically Necessary emergency Hospital, Physician and medical care received in a foreign country, which care would have been covered by Medicare if provided in the United States and which care began during the first sixty (60) consecutive days of each trip outside the United States, subject to a Calendar Year deductible of two hundred fifty dollars ($250), and a lifetime maximum benefit of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000).
  At Home Recovery - (Provided by Lincoln Heritage Life Plan D)      
    1. At Home Recovery benefits up to $1,600 per year for short-term at home assistance with activities of daily living for recovery from illness, injury or surgery.
