They Didn't Fire Enough Rounds
Posted: 2005-05-10 13:05:12
Quote:Authorities promised a full investigation Tuesday into why deputies riddled a sport utility vehicle and a Compton neighborhood with 120 bullets after the driver led them on a chase, wounding an unarmed driver and possibly striking a deputy.
"The question is: Did they have to fire as many rounds as they did?" Los Angeles County Sheriff Lee Baca told NBC's "Today."
The driver, identified as 44-year-old Winston Hayes, had four gunshot wounds and was hospitalized in stable condition Tuesday morning, the Sheriff's Department said.
A deputy was knocked down and bruised when a bullet struck his protective vest during Monday's confrontation. His identity was not immediately released.
No weapon was found in Hayes' vehicle but a dozen shell casings were found near the spot where the chase began, Baca said.
They obviously did not fire enough rounds because the punk is not dead. The police already had been shot at then the SUV led them on a high-speed chase. These are the kind of animals that cops are SUPPOSED to shoot 120 rounds at.
The terrorists could have waited one or two blocks ... not hurt any of the children, simply hit us, Yon told FOX News. They chose to attack right there with a very large car bomb with the children.
Immediately after the attack, Bieger made the command decision to rush the fatally wounded child away from the scene in hopes of getting care from American surgeons. The girl didnt make it. Bieger cuddled her in her last hours.
The Movies They are a Sucking

Quote:
The poor box-office performance last weekend of the first major film of the summer, "Kingdom of Heaven," released by 20th Century Fox, made for 11 weeks in a row of declining movie attendance and revenue compared with last year, adding up to the longest slump since 2000 and raising an uncomfortable question: Are people turning away from lackluster movies, or turning their backs on the whole business of going to theaters?
Maybe because most movies suck and most people can download their movies before they even come out on DVD so why drive to the video store?
hôtels LeedsThere will be some good movies that I will go to the theatre to see, but not many. I am anticipating the release of Star Wars Episode III, but I am also looking forward to the new Harry Potter movie and Peter Jackson's "The Hobbit". Other than that it all looks like crap to me.
The first look at the Athlon 64 X2 dual-core processor shows the Athlon 64 is ahead of the game in 20 out of 25 benchmarks. Another advantage the X2 has is the ability to perform just as well in single-threaded applications, whereas the dual-core Intel processor slows down to 3.2 ghz so the 3.8ghz processor is quicker in that aspect.
I am in no way surprised to hear this great news. I have always respected AMDs approach to the situation. Instead of pumping out pure clock cycles, AMD has always concentrated on building a more efficient processor, which is why they are usually cheaper. Recently the AMD chip has also become a stable and reliable platform as well, which will eventually elliminate the falacy that Intel chips are better in that aspect.
The biggest question on my mind right now, is what will Dell do?
How will Dell react when too many of their customers say "I want AMD"? Not too long ago I thought Dell was ready to break that door down. If it weren't for the extremely late release of Windows XP x64 timed perfectly with the release of Intel with 64-bit extensions, I would have declared victory a long time ago.
For now I will enjoy the fact that I have always been loyal to AMD. Their day will come.
Maybe they could turn this into a reality TV show.
Quote:It almost seems like some sick hoax. Perhaps Huffington is no longer a card-carrying progressive but now a conservative mole. Because she served up liberal celebs like red meat on a silver platter for the salivating and Hollywood-hating right wing to chew up and spit out.
Wouldn't that be funny? Maybe it is wishful thinking, but I would just love to see Huffington on Jay Leno laughing her ass off and saying, "You fools! You bought everything I said hook line and sinker! All of you idiots in Hollywood! You should have seen the look on your faces!"
Poland HotelsOr maybe she really was just that dumb...
Does anybody remember what happened at the beginning of the NBA basketball season at the Palace of Auburn Hills during a game between the Pistons and the Pacers?
Some of you may remember, but I am sure it is nothing that anybody thinks about daily. I live in Detroit and I am a huge Pistons fan and I had completely forgot about it until tonight.
A local sports pundit brought the fiasco up today on the radio. He talked about the incident in the same way someone might talk about 9/11, the Kennedy Assassination or the Challenger explosion. He even went as far as to say, "Do you remember where you were and what you were doing when this happened?" and proceeded to reminisce about where he was and what he was doing when he saw the fight and the emotions he went through while watching it.
Get a freakin grip!
Two things:
A) Drop it. Everybody is tired of hearing about it. Nobody cares.
II) The Pacers got exactly what they deserved.
The behavior of the fans got more and more out of hand as the players behavior got out of hand. I was laughing my ass off when I saw the fans dumping beer and popcorn on them as they were walking back to the locker room. They are punks. When players cross the line and start coming after people in the stands they officially cross the line of professional to scum and whatever happens next is just a reciprocal of their own stupidity.
I actually don't think they got punished enough. I know there is an ongoing case of what criminal charges are going to be brought against the players, but I would also like to see the fans who were attacked take the players to civil court and squeeze as much money out of them as they can.
There was that moron that threw a chair. It was a completely idiotic thing to do and the guy should be punished to the full extent of the law for it, but I still think that the players who were involved are just as responsible.
If players ever charge the stands at another Detroit sports event I hope the same thing happens to them or worse the next time around. I hope they get sued, put in jail and never play their sport again.
This is just another article that attempts to bring liberals and fundamentalists back to reality in preparation for the next election. Even though I think this article is a greatly written piece of a seemingly overstated piece of advice, I still don't think the fundies are going to get a grip.
Regardless, I just had to post this article, if for no other reason than George calling Pat Robertson "shrew"
However, the secret to keeping his hair black is yet to be revealed.
In an upcoming biography of Frank Sinatra, Jerry Lewis will confirm the rumors that Frank Sinatra was involved with the mafia and almost got caught by customs in New York with 3.5 million dollars of dirty money.
For turning your Mayoral duties and the city of Detroit into an episode of Judge Judy.
cheap hotel in Lloret de MarI have always said that with all of the money that Oakland County invests into the city of Detroit we should be able to vote for their mayor as well.
However, there is not doubt in my mind that Kwame will not be re-elected. The failed experiment of putting a former gangster in charge of running the city of Detroit will have negative effects that will haunt the city for a long time. Including the upcoming Super Bowl that we will host, which will probably be the last.
I have a little hope for the next election. It seems that former mayor Dennis Archer will support his former Deputy Mayor Freman Hendrix in the upcoming Mayoral race. Polls show that in a head-to-head race, Hendrix would have no problem winning.
But the problems Hendrix will face as Mayor of Detroit will not be easy to resolve.
I am tired of living next to the dump they call Detroit. It is time to find someone who will turn this city upside down and start holding people accountable for their actions.
U.S. President George Bush and Cherie Blair, the wife of British Prime Minister Tony Blair, were wed Saturday in a ceremony at the Peterhof Palace in St. Petersburg, Russia. The marriage further solidifies the alliance between the U.S. and Britain. Early word is that more than intelligence is going to be exchanged during the honeymoon. (SOURCE)

I'd move to England Tomorrow:
WIVES SECRETS LAID BARE. No sex please, go rob a bank.
MOST women are liars, a British survey has found. Among the favourite lies for woman youre fantastic in bed' and 'these shoes cost only 10 pounds'.
Further findings shows 98 per cent tell little white lies, 35 per cent tell them every day, while 78 per cent also tell big lies. The top three excuses for getting out of making love are tiredness, felling unwell and headache, according to the results.
Meanwhile, 70 per cent would forgive their man if he went of sex, [after screwing him into the ground] 46 per cent would forgive him if he robbed a bank.
Sometimes I don't understand what these people say (went of sex?) but I have to admit we could use more women like this in America, for the sake of our egos.
Bizarre Drudge Affair has Happy Ending

Yesterday Matt Drudge (www.drudgereport.com) posted a link to an article in the News-Press of Cape Coral, Florida. The story described how a city forced a single mother to take down a sign that said "Welcome Home Soldier" to welcome home her 19 year old daughter Amanda home from the war in Iraq.
A flood of email came in to Cape Coral officials calling them An-American, communists and even Nazis. The family was shocked at the international attention the story was getting and just want to put the matter behind them.
The Cape Coral City Counsel has invited the family to its next meeting where the mayor will read a proclamation in Amanda's honor.
Today is Cinco De Mayo, the Mexican Independance Day. Today they celebrate their victory over the French who wished to establish a Monarchy and dispose of Mexico's constitutional government.
However, the French did not flea Mexico until they were confronted by the Union Army on the other side of the Rio Grande.
Technically that means that the Mexicans are celebrating American victory over the French. So I say Drink it up!

Their numbers are down from the last election, but not as low as the liberal Democrats.
Labour Party has kept 66 of the 161 seats it held in parliament.

I would just like to extend a warm thank you to the UAW who have succeeded in destroying American Auto Companies and hurting our economy in the process.
Quote:April, however, turned out to be a far better month than anticipated. Taxpayers were confronted with unexpected tax bills, many from capital gains and the alternative minimum tax, a parallel income tax system designed to hit the rich but that is increasingly pinching the middle class. The Treasury announced this week that it will repay $42 billion in federal debt in the third April-to-June quarter, instead of borrowing $12 billion.
Wait a minute... so by spreading taxes out over the middle class instead of taxing the hell out of the rich... we can actually create a budget surplus?
Why didn't the Democrats think of this? (John F Kennedy excluded)
I think we need more government and more politicians. There should be a 1:1 ratio of civilians to politicians so that the government can solve all of our problems one at a time.
After reading this article, I feel that George W Bush should form a committee called the "Federal Bureau to Provide Hospice to Grandmothers on Dialysis." Then we should appoint another committee to oversee them to make sure there isn't a coverup scandal.
At a recent Ann Coulter speaking event in Texas, an enraged student asked her this question:
"You say that you believe in the sanctity of marriage. How do you feel about marriages where the man does nothing but fuck his wife up the ass?"
The kid was arrested, while making masturbatory gestures as he was being hauled off by police.
I guess he feels that it would be better to allow homosexuals to marry, so the husband can do nothing but fuck his husband up the ass?!?
Finally, Canada is Doing Us a Favor
Posted: 2005-05-04 20:07:42
Hats off to ya, Canada!
To show our appreciation, I think we should build a cruise ship. We should furnish it with finger foods and spirits, a pool for bathing, cigar bar and send them off with a nice care package full of gifts. Then we can help transport all of these illegal immigrants to Canada.
"The death comes amid increasing debate nationwide over police use of Tasers. According to a report released by Amnesty International in March, there were 13 Taser-related deaths in the U.S. and Canada in the first three months of this year - compared with six during the same period last year."
Ok, so let's just go back to killing criminals with guns.
Just another reason why we are the best country in the world and Canada sucks balls.
"U2 opened its Vertigo tour Thursday night to a sold-out audience in Vancouver. During the show lead-singer Bono, who has been pushing Martin for more Third World aid, encouraged fans to call Martin and tell him that he is not doing enough."
"Fans booed Martin, whipped out their cell phones and started dialling."
"Martin said Friday he supports the increased spending but he was not prepared to give a time line for when that will happen until he is sure that Canada can afford it."
Kilpatrick Priorities: Drinking and Fine Dining at the cost of Detroit taxpayers
Posted: 2005-05-03 17:55:54
"As Detroit eliminated thousands of jobs, struggled with exploding pension and health care costs and became a city on the brink of receivership, Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick charged more than $210,000 to his city-issued credit card in less than three years on the job, city records show."
Will Kwame Kilpatrick even have the nerve to run for a second term?
With everything that has happened, slapping strippers, huge entourages of gangster body guards, his wife's Lincoln Navigator, drinking and fine dining at the taxpayer's expense, Kwame does not stand a chance for re-election as Mayor of Detroit.
Stockholm hotelsAll I want to know is, What's next? What more could he possibly do wrong?
This is just one of the many reasons why I don't trust the federal government to regulate food and drugs.
"Federal investigators are looking into allegations by a former U.S. Agriculture Department inspector that the agency sought to cover up cases of mad cow disease, United Press International has learned."
"Friedlander's claims include that a USDA official told him in 1991 not to say anything if he ever discovered a case of mad cow disease, and that he knew of cows that had tested positive at private laboratories but were ruled negative by the USDA."
"For the six months ended March 31, 2005, the Los Angeles Times reported Monday-Saturday average daily circulation of 907,997, a decline of 6.5 percent compared with the prior year, and Sunday circulation of 1,253,849, a decline of 7.9 percent from the prior year"
The Times has taken the following actions:
* Launched a comprehensive $10 million consumer marketing campaign, including brand advertising and direct marketing efforts. * Appointed a veteran newspaper circulation executive to a newly created position of senior vice president, circulation to focus entirely on circulation sales and distribution. * Began executing new circulation programs to grow late-week circulation and Sunday readership.
If they keep up their liberal bias they will have to give the newspaper away for free.
A 1999 Volkswagon Golf is for sale on E-Bay. The seller claims that the car was once registered to Joseph Ratzinger, now known as Pope Benedict XVI. The bidding started at $9,900 euros but is now over 1.0 million (approximately $1.3 million).
Doug Flutie is one of my All-Time favorite quarterbacks (next to John Elway of course). He just signed a one year deal with the Patriots as a backup quarterback to Tom Brady.
He passed up a deal with the CFL to play with his brother Darren who is coming out of retirement. This can only mean one thing. He wants to win a Super Bowl ring before he retires. He damn well deserves it to.
If you have been reading my blog, you would already know this. It is still good to hear from their own mouths.
"Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid raised a few eyebrows yesterday on the Senate floor when he said it would take a "miracle" for Democrats to win enough races next year to take back the Senate."
"I think they've done a terrific job They've cut down the crossing of illegal immigrants a huge percentage. So it just shows that it works when you go and make an effort and when you work hard. It's a doable thing."
Bill Gates recently blabbed on and on about what he would do if he were "King of America" for a day.
He talked about eliminating the H1-B program which restricts the number of legal immigrants that are allowed into the country every year.
"The whole idea behind the H1-B thing is, 'Don't let too many smart people come into the country,' The thing basically doesn't make sense. That's just wounding ourselves in this global competition."
He went on to point out that there are a lot of ill-qualified IT professionals in the United States. I would have to agree.
Most American IT Professionals excel in a specific obscure sector of the industry, but lack the foundational skills it takes to stay competitive. This is especially true of the Computer Science field. It's a "learn as you go" mentality.
The biggest problem is that companies do not inspire creativity in their IT employees. Most are not encouraged to learn anything outside of their current realm of duties.
Even though I am not a computer scientist, the success I have had in my career can only be attributed to my well-rounded knowlege of the field and the immense amount of experience I bring to the table. Maybe someday I will work behind a desk and lead a team, but for my entire IT career I have spent most of my time solving problems, developing solutions and troubleshooting. I have always focused on my primary objectives, but I also go above and beyond my call of duty without losing sight of those ojbectives. Every new job I hold I bring an incredible amount of knowlege and experience with me.
I am still young in my career and have a lot to learn. It is comforting to know that my value will only increase with time. I do my best to study and research trends and new technologies. I stay on top of the game, especially if I feel that a solution might by beneficial to my employer. In the twelve years that I have been involved in IT, I have never come across a useless piece of information.
My advice to anyone who wants to excel in the IT industry is to chose a broad path and focus on it. Just don't forget to dabble in other areas of the field. The most well-rounded IT guys will be the most successful. You have to make yourself valuable. Don't rely on your college or employer to do that for you.
This is a letter written by Jalal Talabani to British Prime Minister Tony Blair.
For those of us who believe in the cause of freedom, it is encouraging to know that the efforts of the coalition were welcome and appreciated.
I'm sure this news will infuriate the left, who are counting on anti-Americanism to give haven to failure and dissapointiment in our efforts to secure peace in the gulf region.
I know that I spoke out against changing Senate rules to block filibusters by a simple majority, but now I just say get it over with.
Even though I disagree with changing the rules to favor the Republicans, I figured that the mere threat of changing Senate rules would make Democrats change their minds. Since the Democrats do not have the ability to function on the same level as rational human beings I am not surprised that they choose to continue their shenanigans.
Let's just get it over with. Change the Senate rules, block the filibusters and get on with our lives.
WARNING: We need to change the rules back to the way they were before the 2006 election.

Quote:The red-hot rhetoric over Social Security on liberal talkradio network AIR AMERICA has caught the attention of the Secret Service, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.
Government officials are reviewing a skit which aired on the network Monday evening -- a skit featuring an apparent gunshot warning to the president!
The announcer: "A spoiled child is telling us our Social Security isn't safe anymore, so he is going to fix it for us. Well, here's your answer, you ungrateful whelp: [audio sound of 4 gunshots being fired.] Just try it, you little bastard. [audio of gun being cocked]."
The audio production at the center of the controversy aired during opening minutes of The Randi Rhodes Show.
"What is with all the killing?" Rhodes said, laughing, after the clip aired.
"Even joking about shooting the president is a crime, let alone doing it on national radio... we are taking this very seriously," a government source explained.
An Air America official tells Billboard Radio Monitor that they have no comment and are conducting their own internal investigation.
Ladies and Gentleman. It seems to me that the Democratic party is completely falling apart.
Republicans have played it cool. They sat back and watched the Democrats puke on their own shoes.
Now it is time to pull the rug out from underneath them. Watch over the next weeks as everything unfolds. It will be quite a show.
The Republican Party has more integrity than I could have imagined for handling the Democrats in the way they have.
I have even heard rumots that the Democrats are considering letting the judicial nominations to go to a vote just to save face.
Isn't life grand!
DEMOCRATS HAVE EVEN MORE TO FEAR!
Posted: 2005-04-27 01:49:15
This stuff just keeps getting better and better.
The Democrats have been complaining about a rule change the House passed in January that shut down ethics committees if they ended up in deadlock between the 5 Republicans and 5 Democrats they are comprised of.
Last week I posted an article that showed the Republicans and Tom DeLay were ready to be put under the fire over the allegations against Tom DeLay. I concluded that the Democrats were pissed off because they realized they had to put up or shut up.
This newest development is bound to put the Democrats in another frenzy. No word yet on whether or not DeLay is supporting this measure, but I'm sure he is ready to put this all behind him.
For those who don't want to scroll, the DeLay investigation was suggested by Republicans and supported by Tom DeLay.
The Democrat's game of blame without accountability is over.
If you want proof that the Democrats will convince their sheep herds that everything Bush does is wrong, no matter how good it is for America, this is a no-brainer.
Why don't the demonstrators have signs that say what they really mean?
"Don't Give Me Any Control Over My Own FUTURE!"
"I WANT TO BE A SLAVE TO THE GOVERNMENT!"
"AMERICANS ARE TOO RETARDED TO HANDLE THEIR OWN RETIREMENT!"
I mean, Christ, the worst that can happen is you lose a percentage of your Social Security! I don't understand the fuss.
This is why the Democrats CAN'T WIN ELECTIONS!
I even got a newsletter in the mail from the UAW that spoke out against this. Don't they get 401Ks? The UAW trusts them to do the right thing with 100% of the retirement they put away as well as that which is matched by their employer, but they can't handle a small percentage of their measely Social Security entitlements? oy
