When you go to see a movie, what is ti you're seeing?

You're seeing a mix of the cinematographer's camera shots, the writer's story line and the performance the director found in the actors. All of those pieces are held together and made to tell a compelling story through Editing.

In the edit suite, The Visual Magician takes the recording of your wedding shot on multiple cameras, and we combine them all to tell a story. This may involve removing long pauses in the ceremony, or adding in still photos to emphasize what is happening.

A good example of how we use editing is often seen when the bride is given away. This is an important moment for her father and daughter, and can readily be captured using a single camera. This is also an important moment for the bride's mother, yet she is frequently sitting at some distance from the bride. Here we capture the bride's mother's reaction on a different camera, and then edit the two cameras' viewpoint together to fully capture the emotion at that moment: Aclose shot of the father as he kisses his daughter, then a shot of the bride's mother as we see her smile, and then back to see the bride's face.

Through the use of multiple cameras, editing and special effects to move the viewpoint from camera to camera, we capture the depth and texture of the moment.

Editing is the process of taking the video we have shot and arranging it to tell a story.

We combine video from multiple cameras, still photos, home movies and music to truly capture all aspects of your wedding.
