Q. Why Do I Have To Join The E~Group To Join The Web~Ring?

A.   The web~ring was only brought about for the benefit of those in the e~group. The e~group is also a very useful and valuable resource and can build a strong sense of community with other designers.

Q. If I join The E~Group Do I Have To Join The Web~ring Too?

A.   NO!!   Some people who have interests and knowledge in Desktop Enhancement do not necessarily have a web~site to put the web~ring on, also if they do have a web~site it may not lend itself to joining a web~ring.

Q. If I Am A Member Of Both The Creative Mind Groups And I Then Decide To Leave The E~Group Do I Also Have To Leave The Web~Ring?

A.   YES!!   If I find that you have left the e~group then I will then proceed to remove your site from the web~ring, usually without notice. The e~group and the web~ring go hand~in~hand. Also, I receive automatic e~mails when anyone joins or leaves the e~group, so I will immediately know if anyone in the ring leaves the e~group.

Q. Why Do I Get A Message Stating That I'm Not A Member Of The Creative Mind Web~Ring When I Click On The 'Next' Or 'Prev' Links On The Web~Ring Links On My Page?

A.   If you have NOT already received an e~mail stating Your site "siteid" has been approved and is now an active site in the webring "The Creative Mind", then the reason is because your site is not active yet. If you HAVE received the above e~mail then there could be a number of reasons for this occurring: One reason may be that I have moved your site out of the web~ring, either due to a violation of the web~ring's guidelines, an invalid code fragment on your site, a bouncing e~mail address listed for you in the e~group or web~ring database, or there was a continual problem accessing your web~site. Finally, it could just be that the main web~ring system may be experiencing technical difficulties. If you continue to receive this error over the course of a few days, please feel free to contact the Web~Ring Mistress.

Q. I Am Changing Where I Keep My Web~Ring Logo!   Do I Have To Inform You?

A.   YES!!   If you plan to move your web~ring logo, please be sure to update your web~site's information in the web~ring database. You may use the 'Members' page to login and update your information, or contact the Web~Ring Mistress with your update details and I will update your information for you. This will ensure that when I run checks on the web~ring your web~site will not be investigated due to code errors, it will also ensure you continue to get hits from the web~ring. If you fail to update your information you may risk your web~site being removed from The Creative Mind Web~Ring.
